ugh

Let me start off with a disclaimer. I know there are people who have had a worse day than me, but this is my blog, so I get to whine for just a couple of minutes.
I woke up this morning intent on having a pretty good day. I had a list of things I wanted to accomplish and no reason why they couldn't be done. Item 1- Start Laundry.
I went into my laundry room and found this.
Yes, that's right. My ceiling had gotten wet and collapsed. The good news is, it seems to be very local, and at the time other than a bit of water on the floor, there was no new water coming in. Called Mom, called the HOA president, started my wash.
Jeannie (HOA pres) came over to take a look. It doesn't appear any of the pipes are leaking so we decide it might be upstair's (Jill) washer. Jill's not home. We leave a message.
Going about my day... all of the things on my list are done - FYI... I pretty much rock. Ran a few errands, got all my August birthday's bought... came home to hear dripping water. Yeah... that's right. Water is now dripping from my collapsed ceiling. I don't hear the washer upstairs, so there goes that theory.
Went upstairs, Jill is now home. Knocked on the door, told her about my predicament and ask to take a look in her washroom. The floor above where mine is leaking is wet. It appears that the drain pipe for her A/C unit had gotten bumped out of it's proper location and has been dripping on the floor. This is the same A/C unit that some of you remember was the cause of another flood in my house. The original flood came from the drain upstairs not tying into the drain down stairs, which then flooded my washroom, hallway, bathroom. UGH
Jill came down to see the damage and immediately shut off her A/C. Fortunately it's cooling off by now. The water has stopped again. Now the fun begins... finding someone to stop it for real, fix the ceiling and take care of the mold that is of course growing from where the water was. The good news is - she's the one that caused the damage, so she'll be the one paying for the repairs.
Like I said, I know there are many worse days out there than mine... but there you have it.
PS - June Marie and Lisa - you both win the worse days than mine award. June, I hope they catch the thieves. I am pretty sure we can find ways to make them pay back time if not money. Lisa, my prayers are still with you and your doctors. May they find out what is wrong and be able to bring you back to full health speedily.
Love you both.
